The Cousin
To be desired once more. To put trust in the future again. To feel like being thirty. It all seems to be possible when Rosemarie becomes acquainted with her cousin at the age of seventy. Till then Rosemarie’s life is filled with her husband’s illness who’s been lying in his bed soundless since a stroke six years ago. Rosemarie embraces the stranger outright including his pipe dreams and bold plans for the future. Soon she is unable to elude from his obsession with youth. When the cousin tells her that a miracle happened she decides to believe in the impossible. Münchner Opernfestspiele//2010
