Ms. Nick is 85 years old and lives in a spacious house in Grünwald, a posh suburb of Munich. After her children left home for study and work and her husband passed away, she was alone with many empty rooms. She decides to convert the house into a large shared apartment. Due to her affinity for art and music, it is mainly foreign singers and musicians who live with Ms. Nickl, learn German and take singing lessons from her.

The 20-minute documentary "House with many Homes" gives an insight into an unusual multi-cultural flat share and tells the life story of a woman who shapes her fellow human beings and their coexistence in a very special way.
